MEN'S RULES
1. OBJECTIVE-From a rack of fifteen (15) balls, make as many balls as possible, in any order, in five (5) turns.
2. TURN-Shoot balls until you miss or scratch and then you proceed to turn two and continue through turn five. If you pocket all the balls on the table, the balls will be re-racked and you will continue shooting until all five turns are exhausted. The break shot is considered a turn if no balls are pocketed.
3. SCRATCH-All scratches will be a ball in hand anywhere on the table.
4. WARMUPS- If you care to warm-up, rack all balls and shoot no more than ten (10) shots.
WOMEN'S RULES
1. OBJECT OF THE GAME- Nine-ball is a game played with eight (8) object balls (four (4) stripe and four (4) solid) and the game ball, which is the nine (9) ball. The opening break will be determined by coin toss; the first player to pocket a ball will determine who has stripes or solids.
2. Rules of play - A player is entitled to continue shooting until failing to legally pocket a ball of her group. After a player has legally pocketed all of her group of balls, she shoots to pocket the nine (9)-ball (the game ball) to win the game. A player forfeits the game if she sinks the nine (9) ball (game ball) before it is her lawful turn to do so.
3. Fouls - When a player commits a foul, she must relinquish that turn at the table.
(1) If a player hits her opponent’s ball first, she forfeits her shot. No balls pocketed on the foul shot are returned to the table.
(2) The incoming player is awarded ball in hand; prior to her shot, she may place the cue ball anywhere on the table.
(3) Anytime a player shoots she must make the shot or drive one object ball to the rail, otherwise, it is a “ball in hand” foul.
Ball in hand -
(1) Player loses her turn if in shooting, the cue ball comes off the table.
(2) If a player, in the process of shooting, hits her opponent’s ball first.
(3) If a player fails to drive an object ball to the rail after missing her shot.
Note - Any situations not covered will be decided by Event Manager and her decision will be final.
